WOODBURN — South Adams had three champions and all 14 wrestlers placed Saturday as the No. 19 Starfires captured the ACAC Wrestling Tourney title with 221.5 points to the 190 of Garrett and 186.5 of Adams Central.
The tourney win gives the Starfires the outright ACAC wrestling championship as it goes along with the 7-0 record for the Stars in the ACAC dual-meet competition.
Todd Batt at 125, Josh Ehr at 160 and T.J. Burnfield at 145 earned championships for the Starfires. Burnfield, out most of the year with a broken finger, knocked off returning Adams Central champ Zeke Schultz 9-4 in the title round. Ehr, who went up a weight to help his team, scored a 3-2 win over defending champ Cody Conrad of Heritage....
