INDIANAPOLIS – As pet overpopulation numbers continue to rise and the number of pet adoptions fall, a new program allows Hoosiers to help by making a purchase.
This month launches the sale of the Pet Friendly license plate, a portion of which goes to Spay-Neuter Services of Indiana (SNSI) and comes after a tough year for the organization.
For much of 2010, SNSI, an organization providing spay and neuter financial assistance to low-income dog and cat owners, was forced to suspend all financial assistance programs due to overwhelming requests and decreased donations and grants, according to its website.....
