MISHAWAKA, Ind. — AM General plans to lay off 300 workers from the northern Indiana factory that makes Humvees for the military.
Company spokeswoman Celeste Ross says the jobs cuts at the Mishawaka (mish-ah-WAH'-kuh) factory were needed because the military has been ordering fewer of the hulking all-terrain vehicles. The new round of layoffs will start Feb. 14 and follow the layoffs of about 250 workers a year ago.....
