More details on FiOS rate hike Tuesday

FORT WAYNE - Company representatives will release more information Tuesday regarding a big rate hike for Frontier FiOS TV customers.

According to a sample customer letter sent to New Haven Mayor Terry McDonald, the hike goes into effect Feb. 18, 2011 for all existing FiOS TV service. FiOS local TV service will go up by $12 per month. The rate hike does not affect FiOS Broadband High Speed Internet or Frontier voice services.

The letter explains Frontier made the decision because of a rise in programming costs.....
