PORTLAND—Bellmont's 400 freestyle relay teams left nothing to chance Saturday by sweeping the top two positions in the final race of the day and the Braves captured the boys title of the Jay County Swimming Invitational over four other teams.
With the Bellmont team turning in 20 personal best efforts of the day, the Braves entered the 400 freestyle relay ahead of a strong Connersville team by just eight points. Matt Mock, Michael Miller, Zac Torrey, and Jay Watters made sure the team title would go home with the Braves as they turned in a 3:27.75 finish for first place and for added insurance Mason Werling, Trey Schisler, Harrison Jacobson, and Mason Schultz notched second in 3:43.53....
