Decatur Daily Democrat:
An unlikely hero stepped forward to hit a critical three-point shot for the Homestead Spartans with 5:12 to play in the fourth period Saturday night at the Teepee and the shot propelled the Spartans to a 57-42 Northeast Hoosier Conference boys basketball win over the Bellmont Braves.
The Braves had just cut an 11 point Homestead lead down to seven at 39-32 on a pair of foul shots by Kyle Lehrman and a Logan Smith basket. On their next possession down the floor, Homestead got the ball to sophomore guard Trevor Osborn and his 20 foot shot from the left side of the key found nothing but net and put the Spartans back into a double digit lead, one they would not forego for the rest of the game.....
