Four Vikings claim NCC wrestling crowns Saturday

Earning four championships out of the 14 weight classes, the Huntington North High School varsity wrestling team earned 207.5 points to take second at the North Central Conference Meet at New Castle Chrysler on Saturday, Jan. 22.

Kyle Jolas at 112, Sebastian Eckert at 130, Colin Downey at 135 and Alex Evans at 189 all won their classes.

In addition to the wins, however, the Vikings' score was supported by a second-place finish and four third-place results to put Huntington North in the top three slots in nine of 12 weight classes.

Jolas defeated New Castle's Tim Anderson by fall in 2:27 to win the 112 class. He beat Logansport's Sheldon Corcoran by fall in 3:53 to advance to the match with Anderson.....
