Baker places fifth overall to lead Lady Vikings to fifth at Valpo Invitational

Jessica Baker scored 34.825 all around to place fifth overall as the Huntington North High School gymnastics team totaled 98.025 points for fifth place among seven teams at the Valpo Invitational hosted by Valparaiso High School on Saturday, Jan. 15.

Baker recorded a 9.150 at the vault for sixth place, 9.175 on the uneven bars for fourth place, 7.625 at the balance beam for 15th place and 8.875 on the floor exercise for sixth place.

Stephanie Freeman came in second for Huntington North, scoring 32.750 points for 11th overall. She scored 8.55 on the vault for 13th place, 8.3 on the uneven bars for 11th, 7.975 on the balance beam for 12th and 7.925 on the floor exercise for 17th.

Totaling 30.450 points for 15th overall and third for the Lady Vikings was Olivia Eckert. She scored 8.2 at the vault, 7.325 on the uneven bars, 7.1 on the balance beam and 7.825 at the floor exercise.....
