The Boys and Girls Club of Adams County on Wednesday kicked off its 2011 fundraising campaign with meetings in Decatur and Berne.
According to campaign chairman Ron Dull, this year's goal is to raise $150,000 for operation of the north and south county branches of the Boys and Girls Clubs, with sites in Decatur and Berne.
Dull said the first of three phases of fundraising was completed in January, when the club's board of directors and staff members made contributions. The current capital campaign drive — the Flooring Phase — will feature face-to-face solicitations from area businesses and individuals who have been long-time Boys and Girls Club supporters. The current drive will wrap up on May 4. During May and June, mass mailings will go out during the third prong of the fundraising effort.....
