After AC's Jarod Schwartz topped Leo's Isaac Stuery 4-2 in a tough 152-pound battle to put the Jets up by seven, then Lions responded with three straight first period falls en route to a 42-28 ACAC victory over the Jets Thursday night at the Jets' P.E. gym.
"It was certainly a great night to compete against a good Adams Central team," noted Leo's second-year coach Todd Mason, whose team looked sharp despite several of the competitors having only nine practices since the Lions football team was eliminated in the 3A semistate.
"We're a work in progress, will continue to be a work in progress. We don't want to peak in December, but on Jan. 29," he noted.....
