Bellmont won six matches and took three forfeits, and Adams Central took five wins, including at overtime victory at 152, in the annual showdown between the neighboring schools Tuesday at the Teepee as the Braves scored a 53-22 wrestling victory.
"We wanted to come in here and get six, and we got five," stated Adams Central coach Doug Schultz, whose Jets slipped to 16-5 with the loss. "All in all, it was a pretty good dual meet, enjoyable to watch."
"I said coming in that (Will) Busse-(Jarod) Schwartz would be the best match of the night, and it was," he added, of the match won on an overtime take down by Schwartz, 7-5.....
