FORT WAYNE - The five electric interurban railroads that once served the Fort Wayne area will be the topic for the January 2, 2011 George R. Mather lecture at The History Center in Fort Wayne.
Craig Berndt will provide maps, data and photos from the inception of the lines in 1902 to their closing in 1945. The free lecture begins at 2 p.m. and is open to the public.
On February 6, Doris Yerger will speak about “20th Century African-American Women’s Clubs”......
