Michael Hirschy, a 17-year-old Adams Central High School student and a cancer survivor, will walk the first lap at this year's Adams County Relay for Life event as one of the four honorary co-chairs.
Michael, who was diagnosed with metastatic testicular cancer in March, said he is willing to share his story with the community because, "I think it's good for other people to know that it can happen to anyone."
According to cancer.gov, this highly treatable disease most often occurs in men who are 20 to 39 years old......
