Judge threatened, security measures taken

HUNTINGTON — A northeastern Indiana judge is receiving more security after becoming the target of a death threat.

The Indiana State Police and Huntington County Sheriff's Department are investigating threats made against Huntington Circuit Judge Thomas Hakes.

The sheriff's department in issued a statement Monday saying it has increased security for the judge after it received reports of the threats on Friday.....
