Allen County unemployment drops

INDIANAPOLIS — The unemployment rate in Allen County fell below the state average in September, according to reports released today by the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.

Allen County's September unemployment rate was 9.8 percent, down 0.5 percent from the adjusted August rate. That dropped the county below the state's preliminary seasonally-adjusted rate of 10.1 percent, which was a drop of 0.1 percent from August.
