Veterans service office works to fulfill its mission

Several years ago, the Huntington County Veterans Service Office was informed of a homeless veteran living in Huntington.

With help from Dave Ritenour, American Legion representative for the Veterans Affairs Office in Fort Wayne and commander of American Legion Post 160, the local office was able to find housing for the homeless vet within a few hours.

While not all cases are as dramatic, the Huntington County Veterans Service Office works constantly to fulfill its mission of helping all the county's veterans free of charge, and it's produced staggering results.....
