Nature's Fuel announced Friday afternoon, Feb. 4, that it has secured financing for its project at the Huntington landfill and groundbreaking is expected as soon as the weather permits.
Nature's Fuel CEO Bill Sinish estimated the investment by the company is more than $50 million for the initial startup. Construction is expected to take six to seven months and plant operations are anticipated to begin before the end of 2011.
The plant will convert all the wastes that are normally buried at the landfill into renewable biofuel and bioproducts. The facility will sit on a 23-acre site located directly adjacent to the landfill.....
