FORT WAYNE - Despite the mounds of snow, it was just another Wednesday at the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo for the animals who call it home.
According to Cheryl Piropato, Fort Wayne Children's Zoo director of education and communications, the wallabies are undaunted by the snow and are having some fun. The Bennett's wallabies, near Monkey Island in the central zoo, are normally found in the grasslands of Australia where they use their large, flat teeth to grind grasses and plants into food. While these wallabies have shelters and heaters if needed, playing in the snow is something they enjoy.....
