Decatur Daily Democrat:
The Jay County Girls Swim Sectional preliminary round, will be held Friday at Jay County instead of tonight, it was noted today by Jay Athletic Director Bob Lutton Thursday morning. The finals will be held on Saturday, as scheduled.
All three county schools will have teams in the meet.
First-year Central coach Patti Sauer feels that her outstanding freestyler, Ali McClain, has the best chance for a top placement from her team.
"She is ranked fourth in the 50 free, but I feel she has a chance to win that event," stated Sauer.
"In the 100 butterfly, she's ranked sixth but should move up to third. Whitney Landins has a chance in the 100 breaststroke. She's rated sixth but could move up three slots there."....
