FORT WAYNE - People who live in the Woodbridge Apartments on Fort Wayne's northeast side got together Thursday night to talk about a string of robberies at their complex.
Nearly 60 residents showed up to meet with property management and police to figure out how to make the place safer. They learned about the importance of crime prevention and reporting suspicious activity to police.
“They become our eyes and our ears,” said Michael Joyner, Fort Wayne Police Officer. “They're the ones who live there. They know things that are out of the ordinary. They're the ones that make the phone calls to us that make it easy to successfully bring to closure criminal activity.”....
