Phone scam detected in Monroe

Decatur Daily Democrat:

Monroe Marshall "Dio" Hernandez said Friday that a telephone scam has been detected in that town.
A Monroe resident told the marshall that a man called the resident to ask for a monetary donation to send members of the Monroe marshall's department to a drug school and also told the resident that this is a way to keep the streets safe....
