Committee advises North Adams to close one elementary school

A North Adams Financial Facility Community Advisory Committee advised the North Adams School Board Tuesday night to close one elementary school, move fifth grade students to the middle school, sell ten school buses, institute a student activities fee, and not replacing retiring teachers as a way to save the school system slightly over $1 million in the coming school year.
