Street improvements and traffic flow changes dominated Monday’s regular bi-monthly council meeting.
Gary Nussbaum told those present at the meeting that the city street department is going to be testing a new application in the area of Woodbridge Trail between U.S. 27 and Hendricks Street extended, including a part of Hendricks.
“Slurry Seal,” said Nussbaum is a mixture of asphalt emulsion, crushed aggregate (typically Indiana limestone or steel slag), Portland cement, and water. Nussbaum said that materials are independently held in the mixing truck and combined into a mixing chamber and applied to the pavement surface in a continuous operation.
