Potter to resign from chamber post in August

Berne Chamber of Commerce executive director, Connie Potter, has announced that she intends to step down from her post, effective by August of this summer.
Potter, who cited the desire to fulfill long-term personal and family goals, has served as executive director of the local chamber for the past seven years.
Potter said that it is her desire that the new executive director be hired by Swiss Days, this summer.
“There are certain stages of life. When it was time to move in to this position, I knew it,” said Potter. “I always wanted to make sure that when I moved out, it would also be at the right time. This is the time.”
Potter cited Ecclesiastes 3:1, “there is a time for everything,” as the guiding principle in making decisions of this nature in her life....
