Berne Council discusses signage, youth baseball

The dream of the Community Development Corporation to place way finding signage at strategic spots in Berne is well on its way to coming true, according to a report from Attorney Dave Baumgartner, who heads up the CDC.
Several months ago, council had given its approval to matching a $5,000 grant to purchase signs that would identify various historical sites and points of interest throughout the city. The signs will be posted along U.S. 27 and Indiana 218 so that those passing through Berne will have better direction to visit spots of interest.
