School board gives approval to teachers’ contract

The Huntington County Community School Corporation Board of School Trustees approved a contract with its teachers for the 2010-11 school year by a 4-2 vote on Monday, Aug. 23.

Thom Duncan spoke on behalf of the Huntington County Teachers Association, noting that the association realizes that the board has had to make difficult financial decisions, and that the association examined the budget closely to reach a negotiable contract.....
