Area farmers off to good start

Jeff Lehman, owner of Lehman Feeds, believes that area farmers are getting off to a “pretty good, but slow” corn harvest.
Soils began to dry more sufficiently late last week, finally allowing farmers to start bringing in their corn harvest. Lehman noted that soil type and amounts of rain have affected the tenure of harvest, so far, but weekend sunshine and drying winds have been a major asset to the cause.
