Fort Wayne will go into a festival mode from July 11-19, as the 41st Three Rivers Festival will get under way on Saturday, July 11, with the traditional parade to begin at 10 a.m. through the downtown.
A few events will be held on Friday, July 10, with entertainment at the 3RF event pavilion in Headwaters Park, beginning at 6 p.m. A complete listing of events will be available at the Information Booth located on the west end of the Food Alley in Headwaters Park or by checking out www.trifonline,org
Festival buttons, priced at $2.50, will allow festival attenders to attend concerts for $3 less per concert and be given other discounts to “admission charged” events. In advance the buttons will be available at ProFed Credit Union (including branch here), Lassus locations, National City (FW branches) and the Three Rivers Festival office.
Hours for the Food Alley located in Headwaters Park East will be from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily during the entire festival. Also in Headwaters Park East will be the Meijer Fest Unlimited with carnival rides and concerts from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. There also will be events located in Headwaters Park West, including helicopter rides.

PINK DROYD—Friday, July 10, $5 or $8 at the gate.
DROWNING POOL & REV THEORY—Saturday, July 11, 6 p.m., $12 or $15 at the gate.
CHUCK WICKS—Monday, July 13, 6 p.m., $10 or $13 at the gate.
POP EVIL—Thursday, July 14, 6 p.m., $5 or $8 at the gate.
BATTLE OF THE BANDS—Tuesday, July 14, 6 p.m. The Orange Opera; 7 p.m. The B-Sharps; 8 p.m. Definetly Gary; and 9 p.m. Unlikely Alibi.
HAIRBANGERS BALL—Thursday, July 16, $5 or $8 at the gate.
PARROTS OF THE CARRIBEAN—Friday, July 17, $5 or $8 at the gate.
TWISTED SISTER—Saturday, July 18, 6 p.m., $17 or $20 at the gate.
During the day entertainment will begin at noon most days, July 11-18.

ART IN THE PARK
A juried fine arts show in Freimann Square, Saturday, July 11, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, July 12, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Includes annual Chalkwalk.
CHILDREN’S FEST
These events will be held at IPFW on Friday and Saturday, July 17 & 18, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days. Includes carnival rides, animals, magic tricks and Santa Clause.
CRAFTERS’ MARKET
Over 50 crafters will be set up for this annual event just north of Freimann Square on Saturday, July 11, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, July 12, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
SUPER SENIORS DAY
Wednesday, July 15, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. will find seniors enjoying a variety of activities and a lunch at the Imagine Master Schools on Wells St. in FW.
Other special events will include the Waiter/Waitress Competition on Monday, July 12, noon, Freimann Square; the Family Fun Bike Walk Run on Saturday, July 19, 9 a.m. to noon at Lawton Park and the Bed Race on Wednesday, July 15, at 6:50 p.m. on Main St. in front of the City-County building.
FESTIVAL FIREWORKS
Downtown Fort Wayne will be the site of the annual fireworks beginning at 10 p.m. on Sunday, July 19th. The Fort Wayne Area Community Band will present a concert at 8:15 p.m. at Freimann Square prior to the fireworks. The Botanical Conservatory will present Jazz Under the Stars at 7 p.m.

JOHN BRANAM’S LITTLE SWING BAND—Thursday, July 16, 8 p.m., free.
