From the Berne Tri-Weekly News

The Decatur City Council took the first step Tuesday night in a move that could bring as much as a $15 million dollar investment and hundreds of new jobs to the city.
Acting upon a request from local Economic Development leader Larry Macklin, the council voted for Declaratory Resolution 2009-1 which is the first step in offering American Industrial Partners a ten year property tax abatement for $15 million dollars worth of computers, tooling, and re-tooling for four properties currently owned by the bankrupt Fleetwood Corporation.
Macklin said if AIP accepts the incentive package being put together by the city and state officials it would retain jobs and create new jobs.
