Delphi edges HNHS in first round at team wrestling regional

It all came down to the final match, but Delphi High School trumped the Huntington North High School varsity wrestling team, 32-28, in the first round of the Logansport Team Wrestling Regional on Tuesday, Feb. 8.

Going into the final weight class, 152 pounds, Huntington North was just a tick behind Delphi, 29-28, with the 152 match to determine which team advanced. However, Huntington's Alex Robinson was overcome by Delphi's Jacob Brummett, 9-3, to secure the win for Delphi.

The match began with the 160 weight class, moving to higher classes before returning to the smaller classes.....
