Could be ticketed for driving during Level 1 snow emergency

FORT WAYNE - Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry and city and Allen County leaders Wednesday held a news conference to discuss the Level 1 snow emergency.

Only emergency personnel are allowed on area roads and highways. People are urged to stay off the roads, allowing crews to clear streets and highways. Those who do not take heed to this advice run the risk of being ticketed or towed.

There are more than 1,200 miles of road for crews in Allen County alone to service.

There is no word yet on when the snow emergency will be lifted. ....
