Bogus food inspectors said working this area

The Adams County Health Department (ACHD) issued an alert today over alleged scam artists posing as Indiana State Department of Health food inspectors in area restaurants.
ACHD Sanitarian Terry Smith said this morning that he has been notified these imposters have been active in at least two area counties.
Primarily, the impersonators have been preying on Oriental and perhaps Hispanic establishments, Smith said. The individuals will cite establishments for bogus violations, fine the establishments and then demand payment of fines before they will leave.....
