Banks using 2011 legislative session as learning tool to help be better representative

For Sen. Jim Banks (R-Columbia City), the 2011 legislative session is proving to be a valuable learning experience for better representing District 17.

Banks, who represents all of Huntington and Whitley counties and portions of four others, has had five of his original 21 authored bills and one resolution pass the Senate to be sent on to the House of Representatives. In addition, three bills Banks co-authored have also passed the upper body of the General Assembly.....
