Five members of the state finals Bellmont wrestling team were honored recently for more than athletic achievement as two were placed on the first team Academic All-State and three more were honorable mention All-State.
Ryley Hankenson, the 171-pound wrestler for the Braves, joined fellow senior and 152-pound wrestler Will Busse on the Academic first team.
Hankenson and Busse both shine in the classroom as well as on the mat with Hankenson posting a sparkling 3.94 GPA which ranks him 10th out of 209 and Busse owns a 3.87 GPA which is good for 19th in his soon-to-be graduating class.....
