Council okays city’s police linkup
Decatur Daily Democrat:
Decatur City Council gave its approval on Tuesday night to an expenditure that will eventually link the city police department's records system with those of Adams County, Berne and Geneva.
The idea was unveiled at Monday's meeting of the Adams County Commissioners by county Sheriff Shane Rekeweg. That body gave its okay for the county to allow the three communities to tie into its Sungard Management System, so long as the councils of the three communities approved.
Decatur did so last night, as did Geneva's town council, tentatively. Berne is expected to address the issue at its meeting next Monday.
