FORT WAYNE—Two teams with nearly identical records collided in non-conference girls varsity basketball action Tuesday night and the Bellmont Squaws returned to Decatur with a narrow 48-46 win over the Wayne Generals.
The Squaws moved to 8-9 on the season while dropping the Generals to 7-9 with the setback.
Bellmont led by 10 points at one stage in the third period but the Generals rallied to narrow the gap to 34-30 at the end of the quarter. The Wayne group scored the first five points of the fourth stanza including a trey by Victoria Thomas and actually led 35-34.....
