With Adams County basketball laid to rest for the 2010 season, there's one place where local enthusiasts can still go to revisit some of the golden local basketball moments of the past.
Heritage Room director Kathy Rausch has put together a collection that resurrects such past basketball heroes as Bob Dro, Jerome Steiner, Les Habegger, Chester Beitler, Jim Beitler, and Elmer Winteregg, Jr.
History comes to life through information earmarking the great Berne Bear teams of the mid-1930's that advanced to Indianapolis from the Berne Auditorium Gym floor (now the library).
