Geneva officials cross fingers and hope for wastewater funding

Geneva officials are still hoping to receive substantial grant money from the Office of Community and Rural Assistance (OCRA) toward improvement on their wastewater treatment plant.
Geneva Clerk/Treasurer Bill Warren said that the town’s grant writers have been grappling with OCRA for funding for what seems like a longer time than necessary. Part of the hold-up has been continual changes in grant requirements that have caused writers to spend laborious time changing paperwork.
