Monroe Town Council President Al Lehman announced at last night’s council meeting that the Monroe Parks Board is once again having a Christmas decorating contest. All houses with decorations in Monroe are automatically entered in the contest. Judging will be held on Sunday, December 20, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Three prizes will be awarded: a first prize of $75, second prize of $50, and a third prize of $25. Judges will be from out of town.
Town Supt. Marty Schaffer announced that repairs on the town’s main pumping station are almost complete.
