Hundreds of steelworkers expected at Statehouse protest

INDIANAPOLIS — Organizers expect several hundred steelworkers for an Indiana Statehouse rally to protest a proposal reducing unemployment benefits for many laid-off workers and so-called right-to-work legislation.

The United Steelworkers says union members from across the state will attend the Tuesday afternoon event. The union says it is concerned about what it calls the "anti-worker agenda" of the Republican majorities in the Indiana House and Senate.

Union regional director Jim Robinson says its members consider the "right-to-work" bill misguided and divisive.....
