Sinkhole reveals a piece of history in Warren

Huntington County TAB:

Three weeks ago, the Town of Warren was surprised by a piece of history that has been lying dormant for decades.

A small sinkhole cropped up on 2nd Street. Upon investigation, a deteriorating pre-existing waterway was found to be the cause.

"We started digging after we found the sinkhole and popped a manhole about 10 feet away from it," states Curt Day, utility manager. "That's when we found the underground waterway."
Day adds that there are still Warren residents alive who remember when the waterway was open....
