Neighbor says cleanup of Markle property needs to happen soon

Markle resident Mary Montgomery asked the Markle Town Council on Wednesday, Aug. 18, for help in getting her neighbor's property cleaned up.

Montgomery, a resident at 325 S. Clark St., said her neighbor, John McCabe, is in violation of nuisance codes on two properties.

She submitted a complaint to the council regarding more than 27 visible automobiles and what she alleges is an infestation of mice and rats and "the perfect breeding ground for mosquitoes" - standing water in overturned scrap metal.....
