USF may match awards in scholastic competition

East Allen Times:

FORT WAYNE — High school juniors, seniors and graduates who decide to pursue health career studies at the University of Saint Francis (USF) can see cash awards doubled if their entries win one of three top awards in the university’s fifth annual Scholastic Competition.
USF’s School of Health Sciences (SOHS) will match a $1,000 first prize and $500 second and third prizes from the Parkview Health Alliance for winning students who enroll in SOHS health careers programs.
To participate, students must submit a 1,000-word essay in standard American English, explaining the motivating factors in their plans to become healthcare professionals. Essays must be in 12-point font, double-spaced on white paper with references cited and attached to a completed application. Submissions may also consist of a disk containing 25-45 PowerPoint slides with references cited and attached to a completed application.....
