INDIANAPOLIS - According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, household leaks waste more than one trillion gallons of water per year, enough to supply the water needs of Chicago, Miami, and Los Angeles combined.
The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) is joining the EPA in recognizing March 14 to 20 as the third annual "Fix a Leak" week, a time to take inventory of your home’s water usage and make easy fixes. Each day this week, IDEM will issue a tip to help Hoosiers reduce the amount of water leaked in homes, which can help reduce water bills.....
