Public meeting provided solutions for McMillen Ice

East Allen Times:

FORT WAYNE - A public meeting regarding the future of McMillen Ice Arena was held Tuesday in an effort to drum up conversation from area residents and youth to decide what to do with the huge facility.
According to a message posted by Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Wednesday on its Facebook page, community ideas for McMillen Ice Arena included a multipurpose building, an indoor location for walking, running, football, pickleball, or a place to hold stage performances.
The department will hold another public meeting March 24 at 6 p.m. at the arena, 3901 Abbott Street, in hopes of gathering community input. Around 50 area students already attended a similar public input meeting on Feb. 28 and submitted a wide variety of ideas, according to the department.....
