Police investigate third child-occupied vehicle theft

FORT WAYNE - The Fort Wayne Police Department is investigating a third attempted automobile theft with children in the vehicle in just three days. According to FWPD spokesperson Raquel Foster, at 9:44 p.m. Thursday, a 38-year-old woman was parked by a gas pump at the Marathon station located at 3500 South Hanna. Her van was unlocked and left running with five children inside the vehicle. While she was in the gas station, a male subject got into the van and started to drive away, the children still seated in the vehicle.
