IPFW 'Empowering Women’s Bodies'

FORT WAYNE — The women's studies program at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne is sponsoring month-long events in recognition of Women's History Month.

The 2011 theme, “Empowering Women’s Bodies,” prompted events ranging from academic lectures by cultural historians, sociologists, and literary scholars to presentations by young activists. Along with the school's women's studies program, the Center for Women and Returning Adults will also sponsor events.

Speakers include IPFW faculty members and students as well as presenters from other universities and organizations. All events are free and open to the public. ...
