'Chico' finds new home, lease on life

East Allen Times:

FORT WAYNE - Officer Brock Williams could not shake the image of a dying dog out of his mind after a February drug bust.
The small dog was near death in a cold garage, hovering under a towel when Williams found him. He tried to help the dog drink, but the chihuahua could hardly move his tongue, let alone take a sip of water.
The dog arrived at Fort Wayne Animal Care & Control weighing 3.2 pounds. But after weeks of tender loving care and nourishment, Chico the chihuahua left the shelter Monday for his new home - with Williams. ....
