No one hurt as NA bus struck

Decatur Daily Democrat:

The second accident involving a school bus in Adams County in less than a week occurred Friday in downtown Decatur at 3:20 p.m.
A Decatur Police Department report said Lydia A. Lockwood, 16, Hickory Road, Decatur, was eastbound in her van at the intersection of Monroe and Third Street. She told police she thought she had the green light and entered the intersection.
Witnesses said, however, the green light favored a northbound North Adams Community Schools bus driven by Fred J. Kunkel, 54, rural Decatur, the report said. Kunkel said he tried to get stopped to avoid a collision when he saw the van was not stopping, but the vehicles collided causing $2,501-$5,000 in damage.
Lockwood was cited by city police for disregarding an automatic signal....
