Allen County unemployment rate falls

INDIANAPOLIS — Unemployment rates in the four-county area dropped in December, nearly offsetting or more than offsetting a jump in November, according to figures released today by the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.

Unemployment in Allen County dropped to 9.4 percent in December from a revised figure of 10.4 percent in November. Elkhart County led the state in December with an unemployment rate of 12.8 percent.....
